My name is Barb and I LOVE to knit!  I create Little Yarny Things at my home in Au Train in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I’m not the one making beautiful sweaters or fancy scarves — I make quirky things like caroling
mice, gnomes, knitted birds, and fun felted fish. If it’s goofy or cute, I want to make it!

I recently retired from decades of corporate life, where I worked as a software engineer and IT manager. My husband (also an engineer) and I had always vacationed in the UP: hiking, camping, and kayaking. When we retired we knew this was where we had to be. The area where we live near Pictured Rocks is magical and full of wonderful, talented people. We finally feel at home.
